05.11.14

Dear Everyone,

We are seeing miracles and I know that miracles happen only because of Obedience. I have learned that the true test of our lives is if we will be obedient to all of the commandments and rules and standards that the Lord has set. I know that we only find happiness in life as we do the will of the Lord. No matter what problems or challenges we face, at least we will be established on a sure rock (Helamen 5:12). Life is so short, so every choice is a test to see how we will act, or react, to other people.

I love you all. Thank you for the prayers. Oh yeah, and one of the pictures is from the baptism we had on Saturday. It was so incredible. We had a huge storm on Saturday. We lost electricity that whole night, the wind and rain was blowing so hard and so loud. We were in the Chapel having the baptismal service even though we could hardly hear and the only light was from the flashlights of the missionaries. No matter what the circumstances, nothing changes the sanctity of baptism. Baptism is central to our purpose here on the earth. Like missionaries always teach, we must develop Faith in Jesus Christ, Repent, Be baptized for the Remission of our sins, Receive the Holy Ghost and Endure to the End.

Love you all,

Sister Santa

05.04.14

Dear Everyone,

We had an absolutely wonderful week. This week we saw miracles but one miracle was being able to serve unexpectedly by following the Spirit. On Sunday night we had appointments and things to do, but we decided to drop by a less-actives house to say hi because she is living by herself. I included a picture of her from a week ago.

Anyway, so she is sick and her leg is really hurt because she was in a tricycle accident. When we got there we were going to share a little message but when we started she began crying because of the pain in her leg. We felt she needed a blessing of comfort and healing. We had a young man with us who just received the Melchezidek Priesthood and he's preparing for his mission. Thankfully I had consecrated oil in my bag and he gave a sweet and powerful blessing. What a tender mercy that we were all there when she needed us.

Heavenly Father knows His children. It's an eternal truth that we are His hands. We have the blessing and trust from Him each day to find the children He desires to bless. I know that we see a lot of strangers everyday, but they aren't really strangers. We are all brothers and sisters who came from the same Father and will return to the same Father.

I pray that we may all see the guidance and the Spirit each day to find these opportunities to serve and earn the trust that our Heavenly Father offers us.
