This is my Joy!
1. My desk 2. Sister Flores and me 3. A dog ate my shoes! 4. We made Lumpia. So delicious! Fried like spring rolls with veggies inside. Studying chaos on my desk. 5. I made a reading assignment for our investigator that has Asperger's Syndrome (Autism!)
I love my companion, Sister Flores. She has been a huge blessing for me and this area especially. We have a hard area, or at least that's what all the other missionaries say, but I love it so much. I love this area and the people and all of our days here. I feel really trusted with this area, because it's special.
This past week we've been feeling a lot of rejection. So many people have been really mean and it hurts, especially because they don't know what they're missing out on. But I'm only a child, and I'm an American girl, and people are still means once we identify ourselves as missionaries. But I'm really grateful for the experience, to understand a little more of what it feels like for the Savior. He was rejected in a way I could never imagine. And so for his example, I am grateful. I'm grateful that I can be His disciple.
One day this week, we were feeling weird and we didn't know where to go or what to do. Our plans didn't feel right. So we hid behind a house and we prayed. Immediately after, we walked to the neighbors and started talking to them. We found out that missionaries had taught them before and they were really interested. Our prayer was answered immediately and my heart was full.
